The artists formerly known as The Randy Loafer Band have
gone through a major organizational shakedown.
Reforming as the RANDY LOAFER YOUTH IN ASIA ORCHESTRA,
Loafer has replaced longtime vocalist Steven Tyler,

guitarist Tim Robbins and Bassist Yoda with
Heather Rugburn(vocals), Davy("HEY HEY I"M A ...") Jones(guitar)
and Dominique "The Singing Nun" (on Bass).
Tyler and Robbins in a eleventh hour decision have enlisted
the help of the prestigious Blues Law Firm Bailey,Green, Powell

and Hodgkin to issue a Trombone Restraining Order against
Mr. Loafer to keep him and his Orchestra 500 ft away from
any Blues Jam In Washington State.
Loafer Corporate Spokesman Billy Stools refused to comment

on these allegations, but he did issue a press release plugging
the upcoming event of the year!
"The Blues Telethon to Memphis"
This event is to raise slush funds to send
Booze Society Favs "Bitchy Sue and Her Beer Belly Daddies"
to the IUDBS (International Universal Diversified Blues Society)

Jam session contest. Contest to be judged by Dale Chihuly,
Ronald McDonald, Richard Simmons and Glen Close

Was it Randy or Dale? Loafer or Chihuly? I get ‘em mixed up. Perhaps they were separated at birth…

Keep ‘em comin’…

Currently on Loafer's Guest Book. Read now, before he has it removed. Oh, and has anyone noticed he isn't wearing his wedding ring anymore? Did he ditch her too? Did she run out of money?? Must have - he ain't paying the band for CD sales. Read on:

Comments: Hi everyone,

Virginia Klemens and I want to make sure that our side of the story is
known in the Washington blues community because no one else will tell it and it is important for our own dignity to let you know our feelings and thoughts regarding our three day notice of dismissal from The Randy Oxford Band.

We received a very sweet and flowery card from Randy on the 6th or 7th of
September, one or two days before a scheduled show at Sunbanks Blues Fest.

The card gushed about how thrilled Randy was to have spent three years
with us and how this version of TROB was the best band he was ever in.

Contrary to that declaration however, he was now going to "experiment"
with different players and was giving us three days notice as Sunbanks would be our last gig. We did not drive up to Sunbanks; we gave him a days notice though. And so you know the real truth, we helped, sacrificed for and loved everyone in the band very much including Randy, and this really
took us by surprise.

He went on to say that he was going to continue to do the songs that Virginia and I had brought to the band so that he could continue to sell the remaining stock of CD's he was in possession of and he would send us the dollar a piece pay-out he had arranged for us until they were all gone and would "always mention our names as the authors of the material so that we would be out there in the public's mind"... Mind you, he didn't ask us, he was telling us, in a card, without a sit down at a face to face meeting.

We responded back to him by voice mail and email that he did not have our
permission to perform or record our original material and that we did not
want his dollar payout and that he did not have our permission to sell CD's with our songs, performances and/or images as this would be a violation of the copyright act.

Two weeks is usually the minimum time for being let go in the music business, and a month or two is considered, well, respectful! This was his first band though, and he was bound to make a few mistakes. We certainly understand and forgive him.

Virginia and I will be fine of course. You may say "sour grapes", but the
facts are, we reserve the right to control our art and identity and never
signed our show or identities over to Randy. We are going to have to figure out how to get the monies we have coming for the CD's sold over the
2006 festival season too, as we haven't seen a check yet for CD sales.

So now you know everything, at least from our side of the fence. We will
be seeing you down the road. Virginia and I have a new three hour block of fantastic material that we were hoping to work up with TROB this winter, but it is not to be. We will eventually find a new group of players to take up the sword and be on our way again.

Randy once wrote to me that our award winning album "All the Buzz" won
those awards because of the order of the songs. He arranged the order of
the songs with the amazing David Maloney at Blue Ewe during the final mix; I hope it was more than the order of the songs that took those awards!?

That explains a lot I guess.

Cheers!

My sincere sympathy to the outgoing members of the ROB, but it sure is nice to know I'm not the only person who got f'd over by a bone slider.

I'm thinkin' this is just a way to grab another BB award, you know, Best New/Reformed Band for 2007. Oh well, now Ms. Tyler and Mr. Robbins know what it's like to have Mr. Loafer's boot up their collective butt after all, the dynamic duo of Tyler/Robbings were responsible for a couple of firings in the past. Hopefully we'll see the ongoing saga of the "music rights' saga on "Judge Judy", where it rightfully belongs. On the subject of the newcomers, Mr. Loafer could of done better but, the pile of bodies he's leaving is probably scaring off a lot of real musicians.

The Davidson/Klemens rebuttal letter has now been purged from The Loafer's guest book....Must not have fit in well with his "positive" image.

"rotund fornication" = good one! (but I prefer the directness of "fat fuck")

Don't you bastards realise that Randy is the only TRUE bluesman in the whole northwest? You should all get on your knees and pray that He continues to grace us with his incredible musicianship! I pity you.

Ahhhh, Darn, looks we we might have offended "True Blues Fan"...That's what it's about - your opinion vs everyone else's.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench,a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. "Hunter S. Thompson"

There's planty of "true" blues persons in the area, you need to get out more often oh and, by the way, I guess if that makes me a "bastard", so be it....You sound like you might just be related to Mr. Loafer, could it be? Now, that being said, "can't we all just get along."

The "dynamic duo" of Tyler/Robbings were about as interesting as the missionary position every night for 20 years.

Oh, man, Loafer has B.A.L.L.S. [albeit dainty and bi like the rest of him, I'm sure] to post his big announcement and gig schedule here!! He can't even allow the truth to be posted on his website. Hey Loafer, once you start believing your own hype, you aren't what you think you are anymore. You should have been run outta town with the Gnome and his manipulative Bitch. Put down the bong, dude....

So what "genus" of musician is the Loafer, Mr. Mah? Since it has not been definitively established that he is even human, putting him in the genus Homo along with us other presumed sapiens is not justified at this time.

Therefore, in the interim, may I suggest the following scientific nomenclature to biologically classify the Loafer?

Chihulius randii
Trombonia overplaydicus
Simmonsiella oxfordia
Mcdonaldus pseudoronaldus
Fornicatia rotundum

Perhaps a vote is warranted.

I once heard that if you've had more than 3 bassplayers in your band, it might be time to reconsider what you're doing....
Jack - Bass - RIP
Michael - Bass - RIP
Hank - Bass - RIP
Will the last Bass Player to leave the band please turn off the amps.
